binlogging on server not active

open /etc/my.cnf in MASTER computer
add the following line


# The MySQL server

[mysqld]

log-bin=/var/log/mysql/bin.log
( please confirm the actually folder existing and right for mysql )

server-id = 1


save it and restart Mysql ( # serivce mysqld restart )
